NY Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has launched "New York Minute," a newsletter to share what she's been doing in the Senate and around New York State. #1 on the list today was fighting food insecurity.
"Nearly 2 million New Yorkers struggle with food insecurity. This includes hundreds of thousands of children, seniors, veterans and even current military families. Kirsten has a plan to fix that. Last week, she unveiled her comprehensive recipe to fight hunger. Her plan would strengthen SNAP benefits, expand SNAP eligibility for college students and active duty service members, and get farm fresh produce to those who need it."
